Biography
My name is Zahra Shahcheraghi, an Iranian photographer based in Berlin. I was born in a small town in Iran, spent part of my childhood there, and later grew up in Tehran. Moving between different places has shaped the way I experience my surroundings and made observation an important part of both my life and my photography. I began working with photography in 2010.
Photography, for me, is closely connected to curiosity and self-discovery. I am drawn to subjects, places, and questions that stay with me over time and gradually develop into photographic projects. In 2020, I founded Cadre Gallery, an online platform dedicated to Iranian photography. Since moving to Berlin, I have continued working on a range of photography and gallery-related projects, and in 2025 I started PhotoArt Galleries Berlin, a platform focused on photography exhibitions, galleries, and visual culture.
